adelaide to anchorage

These are two local Adelaide blokes who have decided to ride 2 motorbikes from little R’adelaide to the northern reaches of Anchorage, Alaska, because… well… why not?

Hemmingway said, “Always do sober what you said you’d do drunk, it will make you keep your mouth shut.”

Following a very late night conversation (which may have been precluded by a copious quantity of wine) back in 2009 they’re taking that advice and actually going to have a crack at this. The trip has continued to gather momentum ever since.

At a Glance…

Start – Adelaide, 10th November 2011, flying out of Sydney on the 13th of November
Finish – Anchorage, late September 2012 (touch wood)
Distance – approximately 40,000–45,000kms (if Google Earth is to be believed)
Through 15 countries in South, Central & North America.

THE BEST PART:
They are raising money for TIA projects along the way – $20,000 to be precise!
