Mission Statement:

Working together with young people through the transition from state care into independence, because we believe that they deserve a chance to show the world their potential.

What do we stand for?

TIA focuses on empowerment and participation as key components of what we do.

We strongly believe that young people are the key to a brighter future, and that by giving every young person a chance to thrive the world will be a better place.

Young people who grow up in state care institutions often do not get the necessary support they deserve to transition into living independently. They do not get the opportunity to be all they can be and often fall through the cracks. We’re not okay with that.

We believe that every single young person is deserving of the opportunity for a brighter future.

We believe in capacity building, education, and mentoring as the key ways to inspire positive change in the lives of young people.

We know that all young people have something amazing to contribute to the world, and we are committed to working together with them to ensure that they have the chance to show it.

We care about being transparent and accountable, engaging in ongoing communication with our supporters, our team and the young people we work with about what is going on within TIA so we can adapt and get better at what we do.

We think that a culture of fun, innovation and positivity is the key to moving forward and inspiring brighter futures.

We work together with communities and young people, listening to them and allowing them to drive our projects.
