TIA is an Australian based grassroots non-profit organisation that works in Cochabamba, Bolivia, South America.
We work together with children and young people through their transition from state care into independence, empowering them to become thriving members of society and create brighter futures for themselves by providing the necessary training, support, and opportunities. Check out our ValenTIA Transition Program to learn more about how our work is achieving our mission.
Since our founding in February 2009, TIA Australia has been entirely volunteer-led and our work in Bolivia is conducted by our amazing local staff. We have developed and collaborated on several projects in the Bolivian community focused on empowering children and young people because we believe everyone deserves a chance to show the world their potential! Find out more about our beginnings by reading our story.
In 2020 the decision was made for both TIA Australia Inc. and Foundation TIA Bolivia to suspend their operations indefinitely due to unforeseen and uncertain circumstances, a decision which is explained by our founder here.
